Thundering Falls, Vermont – Family Travel

Recently, my 5 year old proclaimed that his goal is to see all 50 US states, and as many countries as he can. Of course, we’re fully on board with helping him achieve this. With that in mind, and needing a micro adventure before our next week-long trip, we decided to drive over to Vermont for an easy hike and stunning views.

When I looked at all of the possibilities for Vermont, I stumbled upon a page about the Thundering Falls trail. From the description, it seemed like it fit our needs for a family friendly hike, so we decided to give it a try.

The walking path to the falls were fantastically simple. A boardwalk brought us almost all the way there! It was a nice, easy start after being in the car for a couple of hours. The view from the first stop was beautiful, too.

Of course we didn’t want to stop there, so we walked along the nearby trails for a couple of hours. Aside from a couple of steep spots, it was a great hiking trail for a family.

We were happy to check off state #6 for our son with a lovely family day in Vermont, and I recommend checking it out for yourself!
